MicroVentures India announces a INR 35M loan to Suryoday
| Bangalore, Aug 20th - MicroVentures India (MV Microfin Pvt Ltd) has announced today the disbursement of a INR 35M loan to Suryoday Microfinance Pvt Ltd, recently started-up non-banking financial company based in Pune and operating in the State of Maharastra. On Feb 2010, after just 9 months of operation, Suryoday was serving about 21k active borrowers with a gross portfolio equivalent to USD 3M.

MicroVentures begins operating in Colombia with a loan to NGO Contactar

Luxembourg, Aug 13th - With the disbursement of a loan of COP 2 bln, MicroVentures Luxembourg (MicroVentures Investments SCA, SICAR) started its operations in Colombia. The financed MFI is the Asociaciòn Civil Contactar (Corporaciòn Narino Empresa y Futuro), based in the town of Pasto and operating in the southern regions of Narino and Putumayo. At end 2009 Contactar was serving around 18k borrowers, with a total loan portfolio equivalent to about USD 15M.

Bangalore, Jul 23rd - MicroVentures India (MV Microfin Pvt Ltd) announced today the disbursement of a INR 50M loan to SMILE Microfinance Ltd, MFI operating in the southern State of Tamil Nadu. As on Mar 2010 Smile was serving around 215K active borrowers, for a gross loan portfolio totalling to the equivalent of USD 31M.

As on Feb 2010 Arohan reported more than 175K active borrowers and a gross loan portfolio equivalent to more than USD 19,3 M.
